Round 9 - Ultra Fabrication YWPL 28/11/2024

In the top of the table clash in the Ultra Fabrication YWPL the Dick Turpin defeated Huntington WMC C 7-5. The Turpin raced in to a 4-0 lead this included a break and dish for Tom Wilson and wins for Matt Johnston , Pooky Wilson and Bob Kelly, Huntington’s Keith Thornton reduced the deficit to 4-2 by winning the next two frames. The Turpin took control and secured the victory by winning the next three frames to make the score 7-2 Matt Johnston , Bob Kelly ( break and dish ) and Pooky Wilson winning frames. Huntington then won frames ten , eleven and twelve to reduce the margin to 7-5.

Lawrence 8 Ballers won 7-5 against the Light Horseman Carl Daly winning three frames and Ricky Holloway and Paul Ellerby winning two each to give the 8 Ballers the victory.

#upthebish visited Huntington WMC B and in a closely contested match the score 5-3 to Huntington Rob Barron then stepped up for Bishopthorpe winning two frames to make the score 5-5 , Ryan Foy then won the eleventh frame to make the score 5-6 and in the twelfth frame Rob Barron secured the victory with a cheeky double to win the match 5-7

A clash of the title rivals in Division two saw Bishopthorpe A and The Crescent sharing the points Bishopthorpe raced in to a 3-0 lead with Dan king continues his 100% record , however in the end a resilient Crescent side with Lucas Bingham winning three frames helped the Crescent to a 6-6 draw

The Hammers won 11-1 win against previous second place More Mitre to Keep them in connection in the top three of the league. Other matches saw the Grey horse grind out a 7-5 win against Edi arms A’s Liam Wills with three wins .

Lawrence B with the return of Chris brown winning two frames helping the Lawrence to a 6-6 with Edi Arms.

In Division three The Bay Horse, Stamford Bridge continued their winning run against the Beagle B, winning 9-3 taking them to second in the league, a point behind the Hogs Head and sets up a great game in two weeks when they meet each other. Strong performance on the night from Nick Ramsden who won all three of his games, Mark Tomlinson, Tony Brown and Brooke Horne all winning two of their three games, with Mark Tomlinson clearing the table in his game against Brad Richardson.
