In the Ultra Fabrication YWPL Super League York Hospital Club A provided the shock of the night defeating Huntington WMC 9-3, The Hospital Club raced in to a 9-0 lead to secure the victory with Jason Kelly , Nick Fowler , Kris Hanson , Nathan Harland all winning two frames each and Phil Curran winning one. Huntington won the last three frames and in the final frame Bri Baxter reverse dishing Nick Fowler to make the final score 9-3.
It was a tough night away for Huntington A at Dick Turpin. Turpin started strong and were 4-0 up in no time with wins for Tom Wilson , Pooky Wilson , Bob Kelly and Matt Johnston, all wining it was looking like cricket score then Joe Snowden and Kristian Strangeway stepped up to steady the ship to make the score 4-2. The Turpin increased their lead to 6-2 with Matt Johnston and Bob Kelly winning their second frames of the night , Huntington’s Andrew Coverdale reduced the deficit to 6-3 , Dean Whitehead secured the victory winning his frame to take the score to 7-3 , Kristian Strangeway again reduced the deficit to 7-4. The final frame was won by Turpin Captain Matt Johnston winning all his three frames on the night to secure an 8-4 victory to the Turpin.
The Lighthorsman defeated Upthebish 9-3 with the Lighthorsman taking an 8-0 lead to secure the win Dave Thomas and Ryan Watts winning two frames each. Heworth A defeated Clockhouse P 7-5 with Steve Thomas rolling back the years winning three frames to ensure Heworth left the Clockhouse with the victory.
In Division 2 Bishopthorpe A continued their fine start to the season with a 9-3 win over More Mitre, Dan king and Dave Hollings wining three frames each to ensure the victory.
The Hammers had their promotion challenge stalled dropping from 2nd to 3rd in the league with a 6-6 hard fought draw against Edinburgh Arms A , Jammy Clark winning three frames.
Lawrence B had the performance of the night in a relegation scrap against Saddle Inn . Chris Brown, Pascal Charles, Graham Pinder and Si Mandy all winning two frames each.
In Division 3 the top of the table clash Hoggs Head defeated New Earswick 11-1 to
Extend their lead at the top of the table with Stuart Walker winning three frames , Shaun Major , Cameron Bell, Ken Moody and Steve Lake winning two frames each.
The Copmanthorpe Rec continued their fine form with a 9-3 victory over the Beagle A with Dave Smith , Dan Steel , Roger Cheek and Richard Simpson all winning two frames each and Pete Tubbs winning one frame.
