In the Ultra Fabrication YWPL Super League The Lighthorsman hosted Clockhouse P this week. Gary Pearce got the away team off to a solid start winning the opening two games. David Thomas pulled one back before CHP players Simon Recchia, Ped Manfredi and Nigel Thompson made it 1-5. Paul Maude pulled one back for the home team before Frank Nicholson made it 2-6. Ted Moult, James Medley and Mark Leckonby won three of the latter games for the Lighthorsman, with Manfredi taking one for a final away win result of 5-7 to CHP who reached the 100 points milestone in the league.
Clockhouse A v Heworth A was a great match Heworth got off to a great start racing to a 5-2 Lead with Heworth wins for Adam Rollinson (2), Mark Baldwin (2) and Steve Thomas (1) with Clockhouse wins for Paul Thomas and Martin Oxberry. The Clockhouse then had to dig deep to get the victory by winning the last five frames consecutively Daniel Witcombe (2), Craig Fox (1) , Paul Thomas (1), Martin Oxberry (1) giving the Clockhouse a 7-5 victory.
Huntington WMC C played Haxby A the local derby got off to a great start with Haxby racing in to a 0-3 lead with wins for Chris Mcilroy , Jack Granger and Paul Kelly. Huntington's Adam Myerscough then won the next three frames and Tony Turner winning one for Huntington to take a 4-3 lead , Haxby’s ChrIs Mcilroy then won the next frame to level the scores at 4-4. Huntington then took control of the match by winning the last four frames with Keith Thornton (3) and Tony Turner (1) winning frames to make the final score 8-4 to Huntington.
In Division two the Crescent stomped into a 4-0 lead and looked on the way to a big win Lucas Bingham and Martin Tunnicliffe (2 each ) Lawrence B however stormed back wining 5 on the bounce , new signing Andrew McClintock with (2) the match ended 6-6 as Pascal Charles took the 12th frame
Edinburgh Arms As with a huge 9-3 win over the Hammers Jack Wetwood and Adam Johnson 3 wins each
Bishopthorpe A went 2-0 down away to the Mitre in a game that saw wins by in off , a double , a treble and a skill shot . Dan king took 3 frames but a super clearance from Kenny Caton taking the final frame for a 6-6 draw
A mention to Saddle Inn winning 7-5 away to Rackemup to take their first win of the season .
In Division three The Rec Copmanthorpe continued there fine form and the win against The Hogs Head put them in to promotion contention with a 9-3 victory over the Hogs
The Bay Horse extended their lead at the top of the table with a 9-3 victory against the Hospital Club B.
