Welcome to the new and improved website for the Grimsby Summer Pool League sponsored by The Lounge.

The league was reformed in time for the Summer season of 1989 by Roy and Jean Stark, Jim Litchfield and June Kyme. It spans the months of April until the early weeks of September. Having played to old rules, the league took the step to change to the Blackball ruleset prior to the 2019 season getting underway. Pool in Grimsby, Cleethorpes and the surrounding area has always been well supported since its inception and at its peak provided pool to over 700 players spanning over 80 teams. Through the winter months we hand over to the Grimsby and District Pool League who play to the same ruleset.

The league is enjoyed by players of all abilities who are able to play on a Tuesday and Wednesday night as well as compete in a number of league knockouts each season. We have sent players to compete in the IPA world championships for winning some of these contests, to represent the league.

In late 2022 we approached RackEmApp to see how their platform could help us improve our website offer, and following a sucessful conversation we moved over ahead of the 2023 season. As of June '23 we are delighted with the way it has panned out. Matt has gone above and beyond to help the league transition and we look forward to continuing this successful partnership in future seasons.
