League Rules

Format
9 games ( Play all 9 ) 2 extra points for a win.

Break Decider ( We will now be using the Lag method to decide the Break)

  • We will allow one practice try by both players if agreed.
  • When both are ready - Choose a player to count down 3-2-1 to start the lag.
  • Balls must be hit from the baulk Line to the top cushion and return over the baulk line.
  • The winner is the ball that stops the nearest to the baulk cushion (whether it fell short or bounced off)

Automatic Loss of Lag

  • Both balls must hit the top cushion and return over the baulk line. If one doesnt he loses the lag
  • No contact with side cushions, or pockets, or potting the ball, or the ball leaving the table, or crossing into the opponents half of the table.

Deciding Positions
If two players finish on the same points. If the frame difference is the same, the head to head scores will be the decider.

Claiming Games
It is not in the spirit of the game to claim games and the committee reserves the right to decide on the outcome of any claimed games and their decision will be final

Dropouts
If a player drops out of the league, the committee will decide any penalties for that player if he asks to re-enter the league on the following season.

  • If a player drops out before any matches are played then no penalties given unless it happens more than once.
  • If a player drops out before 6 games are completed, low level penalties will be imposed. (Minor loss of points etc)
  • If a player drops out after 6 games are played high penalties will be imposed. (Large loss of points, money etc)
  • If a player drops out he cannot re-enter the same league season that he dropped out from.

Break & Reverse Dish
This is available on the score sheet of the App when you add a win. The league does not use or track this statistic, so its available for your personal use only.
