Singles

Knockouts will be played on one evening, on multiple tables, held at The Knights Tale. The format will be Round Robin Groups, followed by a straight Knockout.

Entry Criteria

To enter, all participants must have played at least 1 game, either league or team knockout games, for a team in Settle & District Pool League.

Rules

The games shall be played utilising International rules, as the Team Knockout, with the addition of a match timer and shot clock.

Shot Clock

Games will be played utilising a 30 second shot clock, a warning shall be given with 10 seconds remaining, the player must have struck the cue ball prior to the clock running out, failure to do so, will result in a standard foul, the clock shot will restart as soon as all balls have come to rest.

Round Robin

Games will be played best of 1 frame, with a 10 minute match clock. if wither player has failed to win the frame before the time expires, the game will be classed as a draw. Players will receive 2 points for a win and 1 point for a draw, if one or more players are tied on points, the winner of the group shall be determined by a 6 Red-Shootout.

The winner of each group shall progress to the knockout stages.

Knockout Stage

The quarter & semi-finals will be played to a 20 minute match clock, best of 3 frames, if a player does not reach 2 frames before the time expires, then the score stands as the result, in the event of a tie a 6 Red-Shootout will determine the winner.

The final shall  be played as above, but utilising a 30 minute match timer and best of 5 frames.

Match Clock

Shall commence as soon as the cue ball is struck on the Break Shot, The clock shall be paused inbetween rames whilst the balls ar racked, all moving balls are still in play until stationary after the match clock has finished.

6 Red-Shootout

6 reds shall be racked in the triangle, the order of play shall be decided by coin toss, the player to pot the 6 reds in the fastest time will be the winner. Time will commence as soon as the cue ball is struck and stop as soon as the last red is potted, regardless of whether the cue ball is still moving.
