The top 2 teams in Division One both suffered 7 - 5 defeats this week, leaders Chapel End Libs were beaten by Midland Railway who remain bottom despite the win and the Coniston 'A' were out potted by the Gurkha Rejects. All this means the Gurkha Corner are the new leaders after they beat Fox Inn 8 - 4, they go 3 points clear of Chapel End. Flagnificent 7 stay in the mix thanks to a 7 - 5 victory over Lucky Breaks, it's a tough call to suggest who will take the title with 7 teams still in the hunt. CJ's see there lead at the top of Division Two cut to jut 1 point after they shared the points with the Wheatsheaf and Coton Old Boys won 9 - 3 against the Hare & Hounds. Last weeks cup winners Kingswood Tavern potted their 2nd win of the season at the Hearty Goodfellow. Chapel End Libs 'A' went to the top of the Premier League on frame difference after they beat the struggling Atack Wanders 11 - 1, Sam Baginskis joining the small band of players to have a break dish and reverse dish in the same match. Coton Snooker are level on points but lost to Lucky Bandits 7 - 5, Joe Cooper knocked in another break dish for the Snooker boys. All 3 divisions are the closest I've seen for a long time with numerous teams in with a chance of winning a title.
