Lucky Dip Pairs (Xmas Edition)

This competition was created to encourage newer or less experienced players to be in with a chance to win a competition which is normally dominated by the upper echelon players. Think of it as a Pro-Am competition like in golf.

Once all entries have been counted, I will go through and select each player based on their skill level and where they play in the league and categorize them into Group A or Group B. 

I will then run a randomised draw on the day of 1 player from each group to create the "Lucky Dip Pairs"

This will be like any other knockout competition and the format remains the same starting with group stages and then going through to a knockout. 

I will be capping the entries at 40 to allow for 5 groups of 4 pairings

The winner of each group will automatically go through (5 pairs). The next best 3 pairs based on points will go through to the Semi-Finals

Entry Criteria

  • All players must be registered MPL members

  • The entry fee online is £5.28 per player or you can enter at SSSC for £5 per player

  • Entering this competition, you are consenting to be paired with a random player.

Rules

  • All frames are to be played to International rules
  • To speed it up a little, instead of coaching throughout, we will allow discussions after the break only.
  • The shot clock will be introduced in the finals - 45 seconds with one 15-second extension per frame
