Our apologies to those teams who have been unable to view their fixtures for the new season. The error that was on the site should now be fixed and all of the fixtures should now be viewable.

A total of sixty teams registered for the 2023/24 season of The Lounge Winter Pool League. There are 27 teams who have registered to play on a Tuesday and 33 teams who have registered to play on a Wednesday. These have been split into three divisions of nine on a Tuesday and three divisions of eleven on a Wednesday. Wednesday night fixtures will begin on the 20th September and Tuesday night fixtures will begin the following week on the 26th September. This is a reduction from the twelve teams per division we had in the 2022/23 season. As a result, adjustments had to be made with some teams being moved and we have done our best to arrange the divisions as fairly as possible.

The weeks commencing the 2nd October, the 6th November and the 4th December have been set aside for matches in the team knockout competitions. The draw for the first round of the team knockout competition has been made. It is the responsibility of both team captains to contact each other to arrange the night your match will be played. Do not just assume it is going to be played on the home team's night. Please note that players who play on both nights are only allowed to play for one team in the team knockout competitions.

If you participated in the Grimsby Summer Pool League, you will need to change your settings when you next log in to RackEmApp in order to view the new season. You can do this by using the League Switcher feature on your dashboard.

Teams were given the option of playing twelve or eighteen frames in their league matches. The Tuesday Premier Division and the Wednesday Premier Division are the only divisions which voted in favour of this. For these matches players can play a maximum of three frames each and they are able to play the same player a maximum of twice. If a team feels that they need to start a match earlier due to the increase in the number of frames being played, we recommend that you contact the captain of the opposing team beforehand to arrange this. All matches in the team knockout competitions will remain at 12 frames.

With the move to RackEmApp, there are no longer any paper score sheets. The format is the same with the away team filling in their side first at the beginning of each half, but with everything now done online. For those teams new to RackEmApp, we recommend that you familiarise yourself with how this works and also watch the following video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqXWFyV5zcA

At the end of the match both captains need to approve the final score and any 8 ball clearances in order for the result to be recorded. As a team captain, we recommend that you give other players captain's rights so that they can fill in the score sheet on your behalf if you are not going to be in attendance.
