League Updates & Team Knockout Draws

 

Team Withdrawals

Willows Misfits (Tuesday Division Two), Lounge NWT (Wednesday Division One) and Sunnyside Allstar-Believers (Wednesday Division Two) have withdrawn from the League. All of their results to date have been annulled and their remaining fixtues have been cancelled. Their opponents in the team knockout competitions have received walkovers into the next round.

 

Team Knockout Competitions

The draws for the quarter finals of the team knockout and team plate knockout competitions have been made using the random draw generator on RackEmApp. Matches are to be played by the 16th February. Failure to do so will result in both teams being disqualified unless either side can show that they made a genuine attempt to agree a new date. Any team which forfeits their match will receive a £20 fine.

Matches are the best of 13 frames. Teams require a minimum of six players with no player playing more than two frames. If the match goes 6-6, a tiebreaker is to be played to determine the winning team. In this instance a player may play a third frame.

There are no more weeks set aside for cup matches. Please contact the captain of the opposing team to confirm which night your match is to be played. If you play from a venue with multiple teams you will need to book your match in with the venue. Do not assume your regular match table will be available and turn up without confirming this beforehand.

Please note that players may only play for one team in the team knockout competitions. You cannot play for one team in the team knockout competition and a different team in the team plate knockout competition.

Conduct of Players

The committee would like to remind all teams and players about their behaviour during matches:

Any player causing a disturbance through drink, drugs, intimidation, abusive language or acts or violence during an official League match or competition whereby brining the game or the League itself into disrepuate will be indefinitely expelled from the League forthwith.

If you haven't already done so, please arrange for these matches to be played. Failure to do so will result in the team which postponed the original fixture forfeiting the match and receiving a £20 fine.

 

Outstanding Fees

The registration fee paid by each team included the registration of up to 12 players. There is a cost of £2 per additional player when you go above this number and a cost of £5 to transfer a player from another team. There are multiple teams who have outstanding fees and despite sending emails to the respective team captains regarding this, they have yet to be paid. Teams who do not pay these fees may be banned from registering any further players and may also receive an additional fine. If you are one of these teams, please arrange to make payment.
