2024/25 Season
Match Formats & Start Times
Teams have voted for their preferred match formats and start times for the new season.
All of the divisions voted in favour of a new 19:30 start time.
The Wednesday Premier Division voted in favour of 18 frames with a minimum of 6 players. Players will not be able to play more than 3 frames.
Every other division voted in favour of 14 frames with a minimum of 5 players. A maximum of 4 players can play 3 frames and the remaining players can play no more than 2 frames.
Team Withdrawal
Unfortunately Waltham Old Boys have withdrawn from the League. Due to the late timing of the withdrawal we were unable to replace them in the Wednesday Premier Division. They are currently still showing in the league table and match fixtures, but will be removed from both of these in the next few days.

Team Knockout
The first round of the team knockout competition will be played the week commencing the 7th October with the draw being made next week. The details will be posted on here once the draw has been made.
Registering Players
New players can be registered on the night of a match, but must be registered before the match start time in order to be eligible to play that night. The League secretary receives an email every time a new player is registered and will therefore be able to see if players are registered in time to play. Any player who is registered after the match has started and proceeds to play that night will have any frames won docked and awarded to the opposing team.
Postponing Matches
Teams are reminded that when postponing matches they need to also inform the League secretary about the postponement.
Forfeiting Matches
Last season there were multiple cases of teams forfeiting both league matches and team knockout matches. Any team that forfeits a match this season will receive a £20 fine for each forfeited match.
Rule Reminders
We have been asked by one team to issue a reminder on the rule regarding coaching during matches:
Players are to play without advice from other people. If, in the opinion of the referee, the result has been compromised in some way, it may be decided to award the frame to the opponent.
The committee would also like to remind teams about the conduct of their players during matches:
Any player causing a disturbance through drink, drugs, intimidation, abusive language or acts of violence during an official League match or competition whereby bringing the game or the League itself into disrepute will be indefinitely expelled from the League forthwith.
