2024/25 League Roundup

 

Way back in September we started this season with a new 4-division structure to support the growth to 32 teams (from 27 the previous season). We welcomed 6 new teams into the league:

 

  • 'How's That' Shooters
  • Franks Trimmers
  • Slippery Enders
  • Franks for Nothing
  • Balls Deep
  • Raging Ball

 

and 4 new venues:

 

  • Watford Town Cricket Club
  • Slip End Social Club
  • The Hedgehog
  • The Steamer

 

It was our second year of running the league with the RackEmApp software and, barring a few niggles, it continues to be transformational for the St Albans league.

 

The 'league' part of the season has now come to a close and there were some very close-fought battles even down to the last day of the season. Big congratulations to:

In the build up to Finals' Night on 6th May we have the following competitions:

  • 18th March - Divisional Singles
  • 25th March - Mixed Doubles
  • 1st April - Doubles
  • 8th April - Larry Hinrichs Trophy Final (Welwyn Unsociables vs Slippery Enders)
  • 15th April - Daniel Dent Cup Final ('How's That' Shooters vs The Amigos)
  • 22nd April - 3 Player Teams
  • 29th April - Ladies Singles and last 16 of the Open Singles

 

Save the date for the end of season celebration, including the trophy presentations, on Friday 27th June at Frank's.
