Lucky Break 'B' were on cue to pot the inaugural Champions Trophy beating a very strong Newdigate Sports 8 - 4 in a high quality final which you would expect from the array of talent on show. Lucky Breaks Jack Schofield got the ball rolling taking the opening frame with his customary break dish, Craig West then put the Break 2 - 0 up. Dave Walkingshaw got the Newdigate on the scoreboard taking the 3rd frame with an excellent finish before wins from Gareth Watkins and Steve McEnery gave the Lucky Break a 4 - 1 lead. The 2nd section saw Newdigate rally with Chris McDermott Dave Walkingshaw and John Webb in the winners enclosure, however wins from Jack Schofield and Gareth Watkins ensured Lucky Break went in to the last section 6 - 4 up. Jack Schofield retuned to make it a hat trick of wins to put the break on the hill which they crossed in the very next frame as Greig Schofield show his class to finish under pressure to take the match. Well done to everyone involved in such a high standard final, thanks to Chau and staff at the Gurkha Corner for hosting us.

Team Gurkha Corner out potted Coton Gloves to lift the Blackball Cup 8 - 3 in a cracking final which was a lot closer than the score suggests, a little flick here or there could have easily seen the score reversed. TGC took the first section 3 - 2 with wins from Ant Clarke, Aidan Haddon and Alun Jones, while Matt Gill and Steve Pokora won for the Gloves. The 2nd section is where the finally balanced final swung the way of the Gurkha Corner as Ant Clarke, Alun Jones, Matt Jones and Ryan McCool were all in the pot zone to give them a 7 - 3 lead, Brandon Walker taking the solitary Gloves frame. Ryan McCool took the first frame of the last section to take Team Gurkha Corner over the winning line. Well done to all involved on a great night and thanks to Nick and staff at the Lucky Break for hosting us.
