Sultan's Smashers enjoyed their trip across the border coming away from the Miners Arms with an 11 - 4 victory. In a strange match that wanicely poised at 4 each the Sultan's Smashed the last 7 frames to take the win, Chris Foltyn potting 3 wins, Stop rubbing your eyes you read that correctly, the Governing body will release the results of the drug test in the next few days. Lucky Break 'A' and Coton Gloves also played out a very competitive match that swung in the middle frames. The Gloves were leading 4 - 3 but 5 on the spin from the Break boys saw them go 8 - 4 up and eventually running out 9 - 6 winners. Ryan Dolman the top Lucky Break player while Al Pearce was the top Glove. Newdigate Sports beat Coton sports 13 - 2 in a closer game than the score line suggests. Darren Moore on cue with both Coton's frames while Chris McDermott and John Webb took 3 frames apiece for Newdigate. Leaders Lucky Break 'B' scrapped another victory beating Team Gurkha Corner 12 - 3, Steve McEnery in the pot zone with a break and reverse dish over the unlucky Ryan McCool, while Jack Schofield compiled another break and run out.
